Credit belongs to Tankista1 on Discord for sharing this information with me, as well as StranikS_Scan and others who discovered this years ago. Somehow, this information never spread outside of RU; I created this mod and this Reddit post to share this knowledge with a broader audience.

1.0: Thanks to IzeBerg and poliroid for creating the Mod Settings and Mods List APIs.
This mod has a surprisingly big effect on how the game feels. There are some things it won’t fix:
Lag
Bad aim
Bad RNG – shots can still bounce or miss
You’ll still probably bounce or miss.
Is this useful?
Knowing the true accuracy of your gun is very useful, especially in these situations:
Firing the moment you are 100% sure it will hit. If you aim for longer than necessary, the enemy might have time to shoot back.
Knowing how likely you are to hit a weakspot. I bet there are many, many shots you chose not to take because you assumed they were unlikely to hit. You’ll be surprised to see just how many damage opportunities you’ve missed out on.
Do I need to use server reticle?
This mod works with and without server reticle. What you see on your screen doesn’t always match what the server sees, and enabling server reticle helps to fix this. Server reticle can be helpful if you play on high ping, but it also feels less responsive. Try with and without to see which one you like more.
Is this compatible with other reticle mods?
It’s compatible with most reticle mods, but if you run into any issues, let me know!

Installation
You can find where your game is installed using this button:
From there, open the mods folder, then open the folder for the current game version (right now it’s 1.22.1.0).
Open the downloaded ZIP file, copy everything inside of the ZIP file, and paste it in the mods/ folder for this game version.
If Windows asks if you want to replace existing files, select Yes.
